He Must Increase

UK Worship Leaders & Musicians' Network | UK Worship Forum | Worship Events List

Hi everyone, I'm currently planning services for Christmas (as I'm sure lots of you are too) and trying to create a balance between the traditions of Christmas and modern worship. I'm especially looking for a song that talks about making room in your heart for Jesus this Christmas. Any suggestions? Jayne, South Wales

First off, it's worth mentioning a previous discussion on this from last year, which is worth flicking through:

But, if you want to short-circuit that, then on that particular theme you could do a lot worse than Joel Payne's song "What Kind of Throne" off the Resound worship site:

I think there's now a choir and orchestra arrangement for it too.

Another good alternative is Lord come this Christmas by Andy Park. You would probably find it via Vineyard resources.

I think it's great that you write your own stuff. Thanks for your help.

Another good one that we have done is The (Christmas) Offering by Paul Baloche. You can pick it up chords/lead sheets (and possibly even a sample) here: www.leadworship.com/resources/ChristmasOffering.html
