Part of the problem is that it's both tricky and time consuming to pick up if you've had a break... I'm tending to dip into this, facebook, KAE and one or two others for a couple of minutes then out again.

I fear that some of us may feel a little wary, for want of a better word, of the intellectual depth of some of the participants and contributions.

Maybe 'intimidated' was the better word I was looking for...

Don't you believe it. Christians in force can be a terrifying experience (ask the next street demon you meet!)

Seriously, what I mean is that many of the people on this forum bring a great deal of experience and theology to bear in their arguments. I've never been a theologian (I can barely spell it) and my attitude to my faith, and what I have the brass neck to call my music, is a little more simplistic. Perhaps, I fear, too simplistic for members here.

And indeed, my sense of humour gets me into trouble regularly. I expect the bit in brackets at the end of my first sentence will bring me a polite flaming from the members.

So it's safer to keep my head down. But if people aren't actively responding to this forum, surely that doesn't mean we aren't reading it... or do the statistics say otherwise?

I'd happily start a few subjects... if I thought it safe!

Seriously? I think there's been plenty of sheer lunacy on here in the past... in fact, I probably contributed a fair bit of it in conjunction with the other two stooges.

I think the few people on here who take themselves serioulsy have rather ignored the excessively silly bits rather than flaming people. The only thing that does seem to put peeps backs up is people arrogantly laying down the law - and I'm sure you'd never do that!

So post away - and we'll correct your dodgy theology entirely in a spirit of love [that was actually supposed to be funny...]

I'm quite happy both to be silly and to pretend I know bit of theology, in equal measure. Both of these get me into trouble regularly.
