Are you ready to develop your gifts in leading worship and creative communication?
Christ Church is a growing evangelical Anglican church in Surbiton. Our vision is to become a fully-functioning outpost of the future Kingdom; the kind of church described in the Bible: a church where God is honoured and worshipped, where people are being changed by the Spirit of God - coming into a relationship with Jesus Christ and growing in their love for him - and where authentic and deep relationships are being developed. We want to be a church which is making an impact on the community and beyond, by reaching out with the message of Jesus Christ, and in love and compassion.
We are seeking a Worship Ministry & Creative Communication Intern to work 5 days a week (inc. Sundays), joining the staff team to share in leading worship and develop our communication.
This is a voluntary post, but accommodation and a weekly allowance will be provided.
The successful applicant will have a mature faith, a heart for worship, musical skill, competence in IT, and a willingness to learn and try new things. Some areas of ministry that the successful applicant will be involved in, as appropriate:
• Worship leading in services and small group settings
• Playing in bands, leading rehearsals and Musicians’ Evenings
• Creating video and PowerPoint visual liturgy and prayers, and other creative worship resources
• Operating PA and Projection Systems (full training given)
• Helping maintain rotas and fulfil other worship admin tasks
• Design and printing of publicity
• Keeping the Christ Church web-site up-to-date
The post of Worship Ministry Intern is an 11 month contract, commencing September 2009.
