St Barnabas Church
Kensington
Part-Time Worship Pastor/Internship
2009-2010
St Barnabas is a dynamic Anglican church in West London. We are committed to helping and equipping our people to serve and be involved in the mission God is calling us to. Key to this is our desire to encounter God’s presence through worship in a contemporary and engaging style. We are looking for someone who would like to use their worship-leading skills alongside a team of others here, to help develop the worshipping life of the church and to further develop their own skills and ministry.
You will be able to lead worship either on keyboards and/or guitar and to facilitate a contemporary and charismatic style of worship that allow opportunities for the gifts of the Spirit to flourish, and encourage creativity and freedom.
The role would include:
• Helping to develop the worshipping life of the Church through appropriate choice of music and songs
• Work with existing worship team members and leaders
• Helping to lead the band-led worship on Sundays
• Supervised formation & personal development
This is a part-time role for about 2 days a week (including Sunday). It would be suitable for someone wanting to undertake further study in London or who already has another part time job. It could be adapted to suit someone wanting a year’s internship with opportunity to link up with various locally-based intern schemes.
A weekly allowance will be available and/or help with accommodation, depending on individual circumstances.
For more information and details of how to apply please contact emma@stbk.org.uk, or phone if you would like a more informal chat about the role (Tel 0207 471 7000).
