It’s World Cup time and the perfect opportunity for Christians of all ages to sing and chant “I’m a Jesus Fan” to the world. So I’ve made available a sporty-themed praise song with a true stadium-stomping rhythm on http://www.chrismedway.com/jesusfa

Hey Lorraine and Toni - thanks for responding - and having a little chat on my page. Lorraine - that's a great reason for 'wearing' an acoustic guitar. I wouldn't worry about it though. It's when the guitar sticks out so much that you can't reach t…

Sorry Toni, I thought you were answering my reply, no worries, you got yourself out of that one nicely :0 My husband loves cycling too, he is out at the moment, despite the wind, plus it is very hilly in our area. He is hoping to do the coast to co…

Sorry - I was answering Chris M. (phew, think I got away with that one). FWIW we do circuits as well as my cycling - doesn't seem to have reduced the tum one bit, but my wife can hold hers in very well too.

You are right, I used to do more, then I began doing worship - food for the soul but not the body. I did years of circuit training etc. but one thing I can still do is hold the old tummy in when necessary, should definitely work on my stamina though…

Being fit doesn't stop one having a tummy, and being slender isn't necessarily a sign of fitness either. To build up a minimal level of fitness you should do something that makes you perspire for at 20 minutes, 3 times a week.
April 16
Ha, I know the feeling well : ) A confession, why do you think I play acoustic guitar? So's I can hide my protruding tummy behind it - where did that come from, it never used to be there?

I led a kids song ("Love the Lord Your God") in church last Sunday which involved bouncing around, some actions and air guitar playing. However, I was so exhausted by the end that I could hardly sing it. I NEED TO GET FIT. So I've been jogging from…

About Me:
Hellooooooooo...
... I'm a songwriter and producer of kids praise and family worship songs, living in the coastal town of Dawlish in Devon, UK. I'm married to Sharon and we have a son, Joshua (b.1999) whom we teach at home. Our church home is Mars Hill Church in the neighbouring coastal town of Teignmouth. We have a pet Giant African Land Snail called Billy who says 'hello' to you.

Over recent years, I strongly felt led to write praise and worship songs for children, putting aside ambitions to compose for theatre and film. My aim is for kids praise songs to be fun and quirky but intelligent which kids and adults love to sing and listen to. This, I think, is a great way to teach God's truths and stir a heartfelt response of praise to God for whom He is and what He's done for us.

"If I'd been the only one to sin, God's love means He'd still give me Jesus"

Being involved in Children's ministry often means bouncing around clutching a guitar trying to generate enthusiasm amongst kids who stare back at me blankly. Coming from Devon means I can do convincing pirate impressions (ahhaarrr - see, told you) which sometimes helps in that sort of ministry (although it wrecks my throat). The song "Ahoy There" on the new CD demonstrates this beautifully (?!)

"Knowing Jesus is the greatest, finest treasure that there be. Ahaaaarrrrrr"

My music is often described as creative, colourful and theatrical and nowhere more so than on the...

**** EXCITING NEW CD: "ALL ABOARD THE HEAVEN EXPRESS". ****
Perfect for kids aged 0-200

Described by one reviewer as "Musical Heaven for Kids", this kids concept CD contains 53 marvellous minutes and 23 scrumptious seconds of 13 quirky but catchy biblically based songs....

1 All Aboard the Heaven Express
2 Jesus said I am the Way
3 For God Loved the World so Much
4 On and On and On forever and ever
5 Fix your Eyes upon Jesus
6 Keep on Asking, Keep on Seeking
7 Why Worry (a.k.a. the Worry Song)
8 Love the Lord your God
9 Whenever you Eat, munch, munch
10 I'm a Jesus Fan
11 Ahoy There (Ahaaaaarrrrrrrrr)
12 Don't Run out of Steam
13 We look to that day (When Our Long Journey Ends)

As a reviewer said: "Using the theme of a train journey, Chris uses train announcements, sound effects, and whole box full of whacky sounds to create a musical heaven for young kids"......... and kids even older than me seem to love it too!

The review went on to say that the CD was "every bit as good as (Duggie Dug Dug, Dave Godfrey and Ishmael) and certainly better than numerous other children’s albums I’ve heard”.
If you'd like to hear sound clips from all the songs, then please check out my website . It'll give you a taster of what could be to come!

In order to receive future discounts, news on new songs, sheet music, downloads etc, plus competitions and other fun stuff then please subscribe to my newsletter..

The first 6 songs on the player are from my new CD (enjoy):

MIND THE GAP
Favourite Music
I like music that speaks for itself, that's full of imagery and is inspired, with instrumentaion that go beyond the usual guitar, piano, bass and drums.

The music I like on my stereo is usually atmospheric instrumental music like Vangelis, Kitaro, Jean Michel Jarre or Mike Oldfield that takes me somewhere else.

Even though I write kids praise songs, I try to use imagery in the music as well as lyrics and frequently use sound effects as an intergral part of the composition.
Favourite Books / Authors
A W Tozer - The Pursuit of God
Rick Warren - The purpose filled life
Favourite Bible Verses / Passages
Isaiah 53 - all of it. The accurate prophecy of Christ's death is stunning.
Romans 8 - all of it. There's so many great principles in there.
John 11 - where Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead - goosebumps every time

I Need To Get Fit!

I led a kids song ("Love the Lord Your God") in church last Sunday which involved bouncing around, some actions and air guitar playing. However, I was so exhausted by the end that I could hardly sing it. I NEED TO GET FIT.

So I've been jogging from the train station to work. Let's see how I do next Sunday!

The first published review of my debut CD “All Aboard the Heaven Express”

The first review of my CD has been published in the UK e-magazine “Never For Nothing” (NFN). The full review goes like this:

“ Young children are very lucky to have such artists as Duggie Dug Dug, Dave Godfrey, and Ishmael to point them in the right direction where Jesus is concerned. Well, now, there’s a new kid on the block. Say “Hello” to Devon’s Chris Medway. This is his debut release and it’s quite a corker too! Using the theme of a train journey, Chris uses train announcements, sound effe… Continue

Hi Chris

Thanks for your message. No, never recorded anything, unlike you! You're cd looks great! Well done.

Playing/singing tomorrow in front of much larger crowd at a regional event (260+ people). I have to rely on God because I always feel not up to it. I expect that's what He really wants from us anyway.

Bless you

Dawn
