ditto to David - have already put a more detailed coment on the WC website re 2 days and travelling but that apart was an excellant day, can understand what Dee is saying as I've now been for several years, yes have heard similar in seminars over ma…
Well we have been!
I'm not going into detail now, I'm "Knackered".
The music was great the seminars were relevant, challenging and interesting but the two day business does not work from Andover. I got to bed somewhere between 1:00 and 1:30 Saturda…
Nope, slightly wish I was going as it looks like they've got some excellent seminars going on - but instead I'm going to a different worship conference! I'm co-leading a couple of seminars at Worship Beyond in Wolverhampton on Sat - anyone else goin…
Hi,
One of my sons got a stylaphone style beatbox thingy for Christmas which is great fun to mess around with (he is a drummer bless him:-) but I have though about how we could use it at church.
Kev
No, we went last year though and to a couple of WC On Tour type things in a nearby city too. I think we're all Worship Centralled out in our family now. It was good fun. The best part going with several other worship leaders we know.
I was definite…
I suppose the two factors to be considered are "Calling" and "Grace".
the theory anyway is if your not called by God to do it you Shouldn't be doing it and if you are He will give you the grace to cope with it.
In the real world it's more complicate…
I was talking with a friend about this the other day - how many numpty musicians ruined good speakers when they'd have been better off with a (very expensive) fuzz pedal.
When was a school we build "things" with speakers but rarely got round to making cases, so we got an even more distorted sound when someone stuck his boot through the speaker. Usually it was an accident.

Could be a new fashion - according to a tv programme I saw the one of the Kinks took a razor blade to his speaker cone to create a distorted sound that he wanted!
Is anybody else going to the day and a half worship central in London on the 12/13 March? What about it are you looking forward to?I'm hoping for a blessing, to learn something and may be we might get a chance to say Hi.David Bull.
I don't think I saw the video but I do agree with you. The aim of worship is to give Gory to God.
Fame is getting glory for one's self. The two are normally complete opposites, just very occasionally God seem to let some of us be seen in the shadow…
I don't know about the originals but the new ones do have headphone/output socket and an mp3/input socket so you can ruin the sound of almost anything with the grotty amplifier.

Tin Whistle, Low Whistle, Bit of Guitar and I do have a guitar banjo! (Now also learning the Violin)
About Me:
I'm in my fifty's and have been married to Elwyn (For the Welsh she was named after an aunt and they both spell it the masculine way) for over thirty years. We have three grown up daughters.
I like dabbling in music although my Guitar stile doesn't fit to well with other people. I play High and Low whistles in Andover Baptist Church 11:00 Worship band.
I like playing with computers even though I do it for a living.
And I have bouts of playing with seriously not digital photography,
I also like Motorcycles and have been involved in mission to motorcyclists in the past.
I think it's been called too much to do in too little time... and after a while you lose track. Major changes of ministry [I'm now the Prayer Co-ordinator, and doing less music and youth work], back at college doing the Level 3 in Christian Counselling, and life in general...
Thanks for you comments David. I'd almost guessed it was you anyway. Your GoogleID seems very apt.
Anyway, I'm home now and have a week off before it all starts again.
Not tried it live yet..... part of the trouble is I have to play guitar most weeks and (though I sometimes try) it's almost impossible to play drums as well.
