About Me:
I am not as young as I was, nor as old as I will be - so I must be midlle.......... I lead worship with a team at Knutsford Methodist Church, where we enjoy a range of styles with a growing congregation. The worship group also provide the members of our band, "Mid-Life-Crisis", who play rock & pop covers at charity gigs, and have raised £27k for Water Aid over the last few years. We also nearly won an award.

You see, just when you think you've got away from it all, and maybe from God...

Twelve of us went to Florence (Firenze) together to enjoy the sights, the food, the wine and the company. Pete, our keyboardist with a passion for organs, also wanted to spy out the pipes of the many cathedrals.

Amazingly, due to some negotiations by my wife Sue, Pete was allowed to play the main organ in the Basilica di San Lorenzo, the oldest cathedral in the city, one morning after mass.

The adventures of KMC worship group - 2. Firenze

24 hours to go - not to Sunday's service - we've temporarily abdicated responsibility to the youth band (plus a couple of 50+ers). We've only done this once before in 5 years - when the whole lot of us went to visit our friends in Germany.

This time, we don't have friends to visit as an excuse. However, we all wanted to go to Tuscany! So we are!

Sunday morning - as you would expect, the team gather for prayer in quiet expectation before morning worship. A baptism party is swelling the decent congregation, and minister Paul is preparing in the vestry.
