What if our worship made a difference Monday morning? What if it impacted our mission and intercession? How does God's heart for justice affect our worship? How can we use our musical and creative gifts to reach out to our communities? This unique…

Fair point Julia. I fear in some situations its all about getting your batteries recharged without necessarily doing the outside looking stuff... but it doesn't sound like you have that problem! In terms of how to go about getting the worship band…

I like the idea of taking the skills of the worship band out into that kind of context... wonder how we'd go about it? But the other way of looking at it is that [for me, at least], sung worship can be where the batteries get recharged. I'm not as h…

Thanks everyone for your input! Toni, I suspect we are pretty much in agreement! You are right to say worship is first and foremost about God. However, my experience is that what we often portray as being 'about God' is actually more about getting o…

New free worship song site

Hi folks

In case you haven't heard, I'm involved in a new worship song site called RESOUNDworship.org. All the tracks are free to download, with mp3's, chord charts and lead sheets. The songs have started in our local churches, but we get together and critique each other's stuff, honing the lyrics and music. Before stuff gets posted up it goes past some theological brains, including staff at London School of Theology, for a heresy check...… Continue

Only just! Did you meet David Buckley? He was an "interim" for a while, and we've just appointed a guy called Martin Ball as a curate with a responsibility for Worship......so not officially a Worship Pastor, but he'll be one in every sense but the job title!

Engage sounds good, I did my work experience with a guy who's looking to resource the church in a new way with regards to worship, so it's cool to see what else is out there.

Hey Sam - great to see you here (I was digging back through a "worship theology" section that floated up).

Blessings,

Hi Sam, I was looking at Rob Mason's home page and reading comments about LST and got confused about who I was adding as a friend... My husband started the Music and Theology course at LBC 12 years ago, but only did one term. He was a mature student and found it quite hard to relate to the young people. But he's continued his piano lessons with Steven Robings.
I also love Geraldine Latty (did one of her workshops).
And David Peacock has been a great influence in my old worship group...
