Not entirely sure if it's "finished" yet (is there such a thing!), but might as well give it a try.
Jesus Culture have song called 'All Consuming Fire' which is different (I promise!), a nice simple refrain.
Also, Hillsong's 'Fire Fall Down'

I work for St George's in Leeds and we have quite a lot of stuff for this and our worship community.
I'd be more than happy to send it through to you to have a look over if you'd like. This includes things like joining forms, and a coversheet expla…
Hi Ben,
I work with Chris Sayburn at St. George's in Leeds and he has a song called Spirit Divine
You can find it here

His email is chris.sayburn@stgeorgesleeds.org.uk if you want to use it…
Ian, I hear what you're saying, but I wonder if it's a little bit unfair. Ben led with a number of songs which were on the 2008 Soul Survivor album, in addition to starting with How Great Thou Art. I know that not everyone is in the Soul Survivor ca…
Hi Julia,
Only just saw this discussion
We had a guy who played bass at St. G's for a while who plays in a Christian band called The Steels. They've done quite a lot of stuff with youth related events, and are very energetic.
Might be worth havin…
Hey Daniel,
I agree with CS - although I may not favour the board game option, I'd say make sure that half of your time is spent 'doing fellowship' stuff. It is so rewarding when the guys in your team build strong, and hopefully accountable friends…
hey guys,
i was out in california 3 weeks ago visiting bethel church. it was the jesus culture encounter conference as well a new movement for students called campus awakening.
i was there in a number of guises, but with my worship leader hat on,…
I am an intern in a large and growing evangelical anglican church in Leeds city centre called St. George's. My responsibilities mainly revolve around the worship and music life of the church, working alongside our full-time worship "person". I'm also a part of the student outreach team, and a leader at our youth congregation.
I like going for coffee, all things music, independent cinema and reading stuff.
Favourite Music
I'm not too sure about what exactly Christian/Secular music is. There are interesting debates to be had about how we relate music as a creative art to the Creator God etc., but in an attempt not to be too pedantic I think the following bands are doing a good job in writing music which has an overtly Christian edge to it:
Leeland, Parachute Band, David Crowder Band, Hillsong United, Jars of Clay, Starfield, Superhero
In terms of worship leaders, I'm really impressed with Al Gordon's openness to God and humility. The Survivor guys, including Ben Cantelon are still doing great stuff.
I think we must also be aware of what Passion are doing in the States - Louie Giglio is a legend and God is using them in awesome ways
Hey sim, we met on worship central site and you wanted lyrics for Sinless spotless man.Im going to add you here and you can hear the full lenght and also another 3 of my songs that ok?
Hope we can get to know each other on here .
Lord Bless you and keep you!
Steven
Hey Sim, thanks for your comments on the God of this City thread a while back. I really was encouraged by what you said and have since done the song with some success on a Sunday! Seemed to go pretty well, and the church was able to use the song to worship.
I realised:
1) If I had read your page properly, then it is obvious you are staying in Leeds, at least for the next year, and
2) Probably we have a mutual acquaintance/friend. David Patterson was at St. John's many years back.... I was even his "youth leader" for a bit (you can ask him about all my failings in that regard).... last I knew he was still at St.George's. I see him occasionally, doing Christian busking in the middle of Leeds.
hiya!! Lol I went to Church with Solomon, he's a fantastic drummer. I actually met his brother frist when we both stood up in X-ray because the nurse called out 'Grist for X-ray' lol. :-)
Maths entrance: well, there's a thing - it cost a lot, but many of us aren't all that impressed. Also, it leaks into rooms underneath it....
St. John's Yeadon: Smallish church (100 or so people). We recently split into a two service format (one traditional, one more contemporary) which seems to be working well (although each congregation is quite small, they are both growing). Music wise, we don't have a huge group (no drummer :-( ).... guitars, bass, keyboard, folk flute (!), hand drums are all used, but not usually all at the same time). Most exciting things: (1) men's social group - we play football, have social evenings, go bowling... seems to be a good outreach activity, (2) New curate arriving v. soon, (3) .... well, for me, an exciting thing is some of the songs God has given me to write. Well, they seem good and appropriate and a blessing for our church, where we are at anyway.
Well, you asked. How 'bout you? St. George's I know of, of course. Are you staying around Leeds?

Hey Sim,
It's great to hear what is going on with you. On this side of the world, I am finishing up my year-long internship at our church over here. I am learning so much about worship. It is unbelievable (in a good way). I am in the process of looking for a church for God to place me in. Many of the churches I am looking at are local, but I am open to moving wherever. I'm just praying really hard for God to help me.
So what kind of music do you play?
I remember something similar happening to Praise is Rising the first time i went. Somewhat to my confusion as Paul Baloches version is one of my all time favorite worship songs. I'm looking for a worship leader to work with next year on my final year project which is why i asked, like you say she's got a great voice
