Hi Susannah.
I'm just down the road in Montgomery, near Welshpool, and know lots of people who go to, or have been to Carreg Llwyd church.
We are getting Welsh Worship leaders together from across Wales in the Royal Oak Hotel, Welshpool on Saturday October 17th in the daytime, to look at how we can resource, train and encourage each other in Wales as worshippers and musicians. Would you or any of the worship musicians from Carreg Llwyd like to be involved in that meeting? You would be very welcome. If you want to respond to this, please leave a post on my page.
Blessings

Strangely, I've just realised you live near to where I used to live! I used to live in Newport, Shropshire, the otherside of Telford, like an hour away from Oswestry!
I have no idea what I'm going to do with them all lol! Maybe look into getting some kind of worship pastor role, or enter into the music industry to try and proclaim the good news there.........tbh I'm gonna do them and get the qualifictations, then sort of see what happens next, pray about it etc. I've got another 5 or 6 years before I have to really worry about what I'm going to do with the rest of my life.
Hope your visit to wherever it is goes well and that God reveals to you whether its right or not!
Well our community is just so strong at the moment, we have cell groups that meet once a week and we have some fellowship and bible study, and every summer we go on overseas mission, and to soul survivor. I guess we're just all really good friends.
There's still work to be done, we need to open up more and get more honest before each other and God, but it's a nice community to be part of.
As for me at the moment what I'm doing is studying for a music diploma, and when I finish that I hope to go and do a guitar diploma, and then go off to Hillsong college and do a worship diploma! So lots of study for me..
I don't know much about any other uni, but i'm enjoying studing here. All my christian modules have been taught by christian lectures who have been vicars in the past. You do have to do one core module a semster they tend to be about religon has a whole, so you do have to study so while there is the option of focusing more on thelogy and less on RE you can't cut it out altogether, I know one guy who left because of that but i don't mind to much, i've really enjoyed learning about judaism and found that helpful for theology. I do think some of my options are a bit limiting but thats because i'm doing music has well as thelogy.
He's building up his church, it's flippin awesome, we're begining to see him bless what we're doing, and see people turning to christ, and it's only going to get better.
We've seen our youth group grow closer to God and really begin developing their faith, its awesome and so exciting.
