aLive Ministry is run by brothers-in-law John Wilson and David Maclean. The ministry has been running since June 2006, and since then we have been blessed to have ministered to many people across the world. The idea to set up this music ministry was one to simply take Gods' word, through music to as many people as possible. So what exactly is alive Ministry all about and who are we?
John Wilson


John is the man behind the music of aLive Ministry. John has been writing and performing music since 2001, and in May 2006, recorded his debut album 'Agape'.


John is a classically trained singer and music graduate, but his music ministry is a far cry from his classical roots, being more a traditional praise and worship style!


Following the release of Agape in the summer of 2006, in less than 12 short months, John had appeared on a number of radio shows as a featured guest artist, had performed across the UK to more than 10,000 people and held his own aLive Ministry concerts in over 30 churches. The album Agape has produced no less than nine number 1 songs on the acclaimed Christian Bands website, and his debut single ' I Believe' reached number 5 in the New Christian Music World Chart, staying in the top 40 for an unbelievable 16 weeks! and being heard across the world in over 270 radio stations.


John enjoys taking his ministry out to groups of all ages, and as well as being a classically trained singer, is also an accomplished pianist and guitar player. John has performed at a number of events across the UK including the NCM Music Awards, Keswick in Buckie, Nexus @ Glasgow SECC, LentFest in Glasgow as well as his own music ministry events, so is an experienced music worship leader.
