New Beginnings

Welcome to my worship notes blog!

It is a privilege to have had the opportunity to be a worship leader since the age of 15. It is a big responsibility to ensure we lead people in a God honouring way and are led by the Holy Spirit in all that we do. I have learnt some things along the way but I know I've still got a lot to learn!

My aim with this blog is to share my thoughts on worship leading/church/songwriting. I hope it is an encouragement to anyone who is a worship leader or who would like to explore their gift in this area.

I would like to start by mentioning the new church I am a part of. Its called New Beginnings and is in a town called Moodiesburn, near Glasgow. We started meeting last May and have seen God working in amazing ways since then. The greatest thing though has been the real sense of community we have all experienced. It has been a time for personal reflection too and I count this as a New Beginning in my own life, walk with the Lord and as a worship leader. A time to make a fresh start, refocus on the Lord and His priorities.
