Secular songs with a bit of a message?
After the discussion on the other thread about non-cheesey Christian music... let's start putting together a playlist of mainstream / secualr songs that are maybe a bit thought provoking / have a compatible message - or are even just 'safe' for youth groups, CUs etc.

There are loads of secular bands out there made of christians or are christian and you dont realise it becuase they are so popular on the secular music scene. I listen to alot of heavy metal music, but underoath do a song called "some will seek forgiveness, others escape" beautiful song and quiet all through until at the end he screams "jesus, im ready to come home". Take a listen to that.
Another song is Believe by Yellowcard. Really good considering they arent christian but theres a really strong message in there.

I wonder as well about stuff by The Calling (a Canadian group). I don't know if any of them are Christians but they do seem to have a lot of songs about the meaning of life etc.
