Coming up to Christmas - what do we as musicians/worship leaders really want Santa to leave in our stocking? Or what presents should we be buying for others in our group?

For example - a metronome for my drummer, a guitar tuner for my guitarist, and a pair of pliers for my 6 stringed bassist (so i can cut him down to size...)

Let's not take this one too seriously either!

10 boxes of clarinet reeds - that way I might find one or two I like.

ummm a complete recording studio? Or just an upgrade to Autotune Evo would be nice.

Oh and a really expensive lovely Taylor acoustic, because the reason I struggle with barre chords is my guitar, not my technique... so I just need a nicer guitar ;)

Sibelius 5, all associated software, mixing desk upgrade and all set up in such a way that my wife doesn't think I'm taking over the study.

I think our clarinettist might like a clarinet warmer, or would that be cruel, as she is often seen hugging it during the service to keep it warm. Well that’s the official explanation. Perhaps a cuddly clarinet might be a better choice, far nicer to cuddle.

Peace on earth, goodwill to all men, and a new eye for Pooky

"Eye for pooky" being a euphemism for what, exactly?

Reading this site has made me realise just how seriously under-resourced I am in the musical instrument department. I mean, I only have two guitars - one acoustic, and one electric, and I bought both of those more than 15 years ago. I reckon I must be due some new kit from Santa......

Garfield's teddy

What about that fancy box thing that makes all the weird noses?

OK, the one I've got is just a little Zoom A2, very cheap. Some of the guys on here have got huge rack effects......

Now, one of those new pods would be nice.

I would love Santa to consider an Epiphone SG electric double neck 12/6 (very 1970s prog rock). My local music shop has just knocked £300 off their price, but still £500. At least then i wouldn't have to keep changing guitars. Also one of my boys is involved in the church band for this years nativity and the theme is 80s rock, so I guess a doubleneck would fit the bill...., especially as they have to dress like they are a band member of Guns 'n' Roses, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Rainbow, Kiss etc. (anyone ever led worship on a double neck?.....)

Two things I would like:-

1) A new top joint for the second finger of my right hand. One that doesn't keep producing mecoid cysts.

2) A new nail for said finger to replace the one that has been damaged having the cysts removed.

David Bull.
